2008

I was watching the television while the world outside me was anticipating the celebration of the new year's eve. It was almost an hour before new year's eve. I fell asleep, I dozed off at our sofa. I was holding my phone, I didn't hear the alerts not even the noise of the firecrackers outside. Probably I had one bottle of beverage too much, it kicked in with the videoke songs we sang earlier that evening, my Dad, my Uncle, my cousins and some neighbors got me all woozy. I tried to get up and watch the fireworks, but I thought, what's to celebrate in the new year? It's just a day giving itself up for another day, but the only thing that makes it special is the turn of the year or maybe its tradition. A turn of a day and a turn of a year at once. Same sunrise and the same sunsets like as it was in the last 364 days. Years, months and days are constant, it's the change in us that should matter.

This year could be one the defining years in my life. I would set a milestone and not just prepare for the board exam but to pass it.

I may fail, of course... but I have faith...

"Even to your old age and gray hairs I am HE, I am HE who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you." - Isaiah 46:4

Happy New Year! ^_^
