Epiphany

Something just struck me.

It's not lighting. Something worse. Reality.

There's something that I should've done. Or something that I shouldn't have done.

Baffled.

Somewhere down the line I have missed something...or did I forget to draw the line?

Desisting.

One more step could be the precipice.

28

Today I turn 28. 28 at 28. I stopped counting my years because it doesn't affect my looks. Hehe...

Spent the day with Kae working on our research for our major subject which is due tomorrow. Before that I was at my Dad's office. We went to DOH and a health center somewhere in San Andres to gather the data. Had lunch at SM Manila before we went to school for my class and for our hepa vaccine shot. I received a number of greetings from my friends and relatives.

Love your hair, parang kang si Dora the Explorer. And to everyone, kilala nyo na sarili nyo kung bumati kayo, I appreciate your thoughtfulness and efforts to greet me specially to those who stayed up late just to greet me at the stroke of 12. ;)

Dainty.

Vanilla.

Mocha.

Carbonara.

Punching.

Waiting.

Question.

Sister?

No.

Just waiting...

Gulo noh? Go figure! Happy Birthday to me! ^_^

I thank the Lord for this day.

Grandma

Spoke to my Grandma yesterday on the phone. I talk to her with an accent, its fun that way. Haven't spoken to her for weeks now. She would usually call during Sunday mornings before I go to church or even late in the evenings. I wrote her a letter a few weeks ago regarding my "minor" requests. I asked for a copy of a nursing book by Kozier and an MP3 player. And she told me about the good news that she already ordered for the book and she even threw in some extra reviewers for the NCLEX exam. I was thrilled! The MP3 on the other hand will be handled by my Uncle Sam (who works in Sony) since my Grandma has no idea whatsover what it was, she probably thinks that its a microwave machine or a kitchen appliance of some sort. Everytime we would talk she would always ask me when will I graduate.

"Matagal pa po..."

She's already senile at 78.

And she's anticipating for my coming to live with them in Sun Valley, Cali., 3-4 years from now I hope. By then I would be taking care of her and my Grandpa. Everytime I would hear her voice I feel like I'm being drawn to her closer. I wasn't the only recipient of her kindness and generosity, she provided for the education to several of my relatives including my Uncles who studied before.

"Take it easy Mr. Nurse, concentrate well on your studies and get here fast 'coz your Lola is getting older." That's her line.

"Be there in a jiff!"

She was one of the reasons why I took up nursing, she encouraged us to study long before the demands occured. She always tells me to thank the Lord for His blessings and be grateful for the opportunities and privileges that we have. And I am, for her.

Her strange slang accent would always make me simper. <3

Kaya kelangan ko mag-practice ng English ko di ba? hehe...

EXes

EXes is an equivocation. They are and were my friends. They we're my friends which evolved into a relationship and then on a twist of fate turned friends again (To put it in rather euphemistic words and not say "We broke up"). They're not "many" as people might think of. I'm just wondering how coincidental they both got in touch with me all of a sudden. Is the world coming to an end? Or maybe because I'm celebrating my birthday this month? Hehe... Well it sure is a very nice surprice present to hear from them.

The walls are already down.

I'm glad that after the fuss that I got them through with those relationships everything seemed to come into full circle and not a vicious cycle. ;)

Kung sinumpa lang nila ko eh sa malamang naging palaka na ko...teka, di nga ba? Wibbit! Wibbit! Hehe...

P.S. Kae, thanks for the copy of Hale. ^_^

Hale

The Day You Said Goodnight

Take me as you are, push me off the road
The sadness, I need this time to be with you
I'm freezing in the sun, I'm burning in the rain
The silence, I'm screaming, calling out your name

And I do reside in your light
Put out the fire with me and find
Yeah, you'll lose the side of your circles
That's what I'll do if we say goodbye

To be is all I gotta be
And all that I see, and all that I need is time
To me the life you gave me
The day you said goodnight

The calmness in your face
That I see through the night
The warmth of your light is pressing unto us
You didn't ask me why, I never would have known
Oblivion is falling down

If you could only know me like your prayers at night
Then everything between you and me will be all right

She's already taken,
She's already taken,
She's already taken...me

The day you said goodnight...

For Kathleen...

Movie

I watched War of the Worlds yesterday. The movie sucked. Spielberg should've named it E.T.2

Still...the experience wasn't a total loss. I enjoyed the company of a friend. :)

Naaliw naman ako...

Wedding

Just got home from my cousin's wedding. The venue was in a small chapel inside SBMA and the reception was at Olongapo Convention Center. What can I say, it was romantic. My cousin happens to be the bride, she's the third sibling and third who got hitched among my cousins on Tito Romy's side. Before her walk on the aisle, the entourage stayed at the corner of the pews holding a small cage. And as my cousin made her walk through the aisle, butterflies came out of the small cages and flew across the small chapel. I was fascinated by their beauty. They we're all over the place making the ceremonies more romantic and the ambiance more tranquil. I'm definitely gonna try that out on my wedding. And at the reception, we're bubbles. Bubbles all over the place! The motif was moss green, my Tito Tito wore a bright yellow long-sleeve shirt. He was hilarious with his huge tummy walking and goofing around. Thanks to my cousin, she gave me an idea about my future wedding. Let's just hope there will be one, someday. ^_^

Baka i-try ko sakin mga salagubang at tutubi. Tapos strictly ethnic ang motif kasi naka-bahag lang ako eh. Asteg! Hehe...
